Career Coaches and Mentors
Looking for A Career Coach or Mentor?
The Career Development and Transition Committee (CDTC) coordinates a career coaching and mentorship program for the California Association of Healthcare Leaders. Our program is independent of the ACHE sponsored program for mentor-mentees and the ACHE compensated coaches program, which are options also available to CAHL members.
Coach-Mentor Program Overview
- Participation in the program is voluntary and not a requirement for CAHL membership.
- Coach-mentor's and advisee-mentee shall mutually agree on the nature, scope, boundaries and framework of their relationship.
- The CDTC will publish and maintain the career tab, a list of coach-mentors, general services offered and contact information on the CAHL website.
- CAHL members may contact coach-mentors in accordance with their guidelines and initiate a dialogue.
- All interaction and documentation shall be between coach-mentor and advisee-mentee; CAHL shall maintain no records whatsoever of the relationship and interactions between the parties.
- CDTC is available to assist by providing guidance to coaches and mentors on what services to offer, publically available skill development resources and websites, etc. If you are interested in becoming a coach-mentor or need further information please send an email to cahlmentorprogram@gmail.com.
- CDTC is available to assist advisee-mentees by providing guidance on what they are seeking, setting expectations, and attempting to match an advisee-mentee to a coach-mentor. If you are interested in becoming an advisee-mentee or need further information please send an email to cahlmentorprogram@gmail.com.

Bryanna Gallaway, MPA-HSA, CPXP Director - Service Excellence, Stanford Health Care |
|
Background and Education |
Bryanna graduated with a Masters in Public Administration and Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco. She has been a healthcare professional for nearly fifteen years, in a variety of roles. She began her career as a training program manager and consultant for electronic health record initiatives within community health organizations across the Unites States. Always eager to learn about the continually changing healthcare landscape, she joined the Stanford Health Care team in May 2012 as Stanford’s first Administrative Fellow. At the close of her Administrative Fellowship she joined the Stanford management team, overseeing the patient experience programs at the hospital, clinics, and network medical foundation. Her role includes the strategic development and deployment of patient satisfaction data collection and performance improvement initiatives related to that experience data, from complaint and grievance management to recognitions and celebrations. She also oversees the Volunteer Resources and Patient & Family Partners team, engaging about 1000 volunteers in meaningful opportunities across the organization. Her professional passion is improving the human experience through partnership building, problem solving, and continuous culture change. In addition to her work at Stanford Health Care, she remains active in many local and national healthcare organizations. She served as a Board Chair for the Communication and Higher Education Network Committees for the California Association of Healthcare Leaders (CAHL), and was awarded the 2016 CAHL Volunteer of the Year Award and 2017 ACHE Early Careerist Regent Award. She is currently the active Past-President of the Women Health Care Executives (WHCE), one of seven ACHE Women Health Executive Networks. Bryanna recently joined The Beryl Institute Advisory Board and is among the earliest cohort of leaders to achieve the credential of Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) from the Patient Experience Institute. |
