Tehroop:  I would like to further my knowledge and get my Masters in Healthcare Administration.  I hope to one day be an influential healthcare leader in my community.

CAHL:  As a student, what have you enjoyed thus far about your academic program and any interactions you have had CAHL/ACHE?

Tehroop:  I have enjoyed learning about all the different healthcare systems globally, and how each system impacts it’s region. I hope to bridge the gap between those in need of medical care and free healthcare resources in the community. One particular CAHL activity I participated in was coordinating the 2022 CAHL Sacramento State Panel. A successful event in which students got to connect with local healthcare professionals and learn about their career journey.

CAHL:  What school are you currently attending and what is your major?

Husna: California Northstate UniversityI am a Foreign Trained Dentist with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India.  Currently I am pursuing my Master of Healthcare Administration with Leadership Concentration

CAHL: What are some of your future goals after earning your degree?

Husna: I am aiming to secure an administrative fellowship and gain real-world exposure and experience in the management and administrative skills required for me to excel in the field. Additionally, I would like to keep learning and sharing my knowledge, experience, and skills in the field of health care. Since I am primarily a dentist, I would like to delve deeper into the dynamic field of dentistry, investigate and explore the use of Artificial Intelligence in the dental industry. My priority will always be to provide the most vulnerable populations with affordable, quality care. Research and global health are some specific areas I would like to concentrate on, along with community service, while pursuing any other future prospects.

CAHL: As a student, what have you enjoyed thus far about your academic program and any interactions you have had CAHL/ACHE?

Husna: The MHA program at CNU has been a very enjoyable and inspiring experience for me. Each of the professors have motivated me to look at the healthcare industry from a global viewpoint and with various frames of reference. Under their guidance and mentorship, I could leverage my strengths while working with my weaknesses, bringing out the best in me. In the process of learning, I became more self-aware, self-regulated and I am highly cognizant of the significance of upholding moral principles, integrity, ethical standards, and conduct.

As a Student Council Member in the CAHL Higher Education Network Committee, I have been drawing my inspiration from the committed and seasoned members of the committee since the day I joined. This committee fosters diversity and inclusion, and I am confident of learning a lot from this rich experience.

I am grateful and thrilled to have received the CAHL HEN Graduate Scholarship and I thank the executive and scholarship committee for this chance. It will always serve as a reminder to me of my obligation to support others and give back to the community.
