Assembly Bill 425 - Medi-Cal Pharmacogenomics

By Chantelle Schenning and Megan Boyd -- Pharmacogenomics is the science of how an individual’s genetic makeup impacts the way they process medications, having huge impacts on whether the medication is effective, helps, harms, or potentially kills the patient taking it. In February 2023, Assembly Bill 425 was introduced. It which would mandate coverage of pharmacogenomic testing (PGx) within the Medi-Cal Program.

Chico State Wins 2023 College Bowl

The 2023 Statewide ACHE College Bowl took place on Friday, April 21, at Concordia University in Irvine, Calif. Congratulations to CAHL HEN school Chico State! Chico State had two undergraduate teams participate and Chico State won both first and second place in their case study division. Well done!
