This year, the California Association of Healthcare Leaders (CAHL) proudly celebrates 20 years of advancing healthcare leadership across Northern and Central California. What began in 2006 as the merger of three healthcare leadership chapters has grown into one of the nation's largest ACHE chapters, serving nearly 2,000 members through leadership development, mentorship, educational programming, and professional networking. How the Coastal Local Programming Committee Is Advancing CAHL’s Legacy Through Education, Service, and Collaboration
As CAHL celebrates 20 years of advancing healthcare leadership, the Coastal Local Programming Committee continues to foster education, collaboration, and service through impactful programs and community partnerships. During the first half of 2026, the committee hosted leadership development events, partnered with the Northern California Chapter of NAHSE on a health equity program, and collaborated with the JEDI Committee to volunteer at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. Looking ahead, the committee remains committed to delivering innovative educational experiences, strengthening professional connections, and supporting the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Make the Most of Your Membership
Your CAHL membership is more than a professional affiliation—it's an opportunity to grow as a leader while helping others do the same. The value of membership isn't simply in joining; it's in actively engaging with the people, programs, and opportunities that make our chapter thrive.
Whether you're looking to expand your network, find a mentor, pursue your FACHE® credential, develop new leadership skills, or serve on a committee, CAHL offers countless ways to invest in your professional journey. The more you engage, the more you'll gain—and the more you'll have to give back to others.
As members, we also have a responsibility to strengthen our healthcare leadership community. Consider inviting a colleague to attend an event, encouraging an emerging leader to become involved, volunteering your time as a mentor, or sharing your own experiences with those who are just beginning their leadership journey. The future of healthcare leadership depends on leaders who are willing to open doors for others.
CAHL is only as strong as the members who show up, contribute, and bring others along with them. Your involvement has the power to create meaningful connections, foster professional growth, and inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders.
This year, challenge yourself to take one additional step—whether it's attending a new event, joining a committee, mentoring a colleague, or introducing someone to the CAHL community. Together, we can continue building a stronger and more connected healthcare leadership network.
