nURSING AND HEALTHCARE LEADERS URGE CALIFORNIANS TO WEAR A MASK TO STOP THE SPREAD OF COVID-19

An Open Letter to Californians,

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have urged Californians to protect themselves, their communities and their loved ones amidst the worst global health crisis in generations.

We are now watching as a record number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are erasing our hard-won gains. This is why as nurses, public health experts, hospital and health system leaders, educators, physicians, and all healthcare professionals, we are urging Californians to take the simple steps we know will help stop the spread of the virus: wearing a face mask, maintaining physical distancing, and washing hands.

To those of you who are doing your part in helping turn the tide of this pandemic – thank you. Your actions are critical to stopping the spread of COVID-19. Moving forward, we must all remain vigilant and continue taking steps to mitigate the spread of the virus to protect each other and our loved ones. There is only one way we will get through this – together.
