Special recognition was awarded to CAHL members at this year’s ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
Baljeet S. Sangha, FACHE, was honored with the prestigious Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award. One of ACHE’s highest individual awards, it recognizes early careerists for outstanding achievements in the field of healthcare management.
Sangha is COO and deputy director of the San Francisco Health Network/San Francisco Department of Public Health, the fully integrated public healthcare system for the city and county of San Francisco. He previously was vice president, Operations and Support Services, Alameda Health System, Oakland, Calif. Sangha served as the ACHE Regent for California—Northern & Central, from 2019–2022.
CAHL President Kelly Flannery, MHA, FACHE, was honored with the VA Regent Award for Regent Advisory Council Excellence. Flannery is Chief Planning Officer for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs/ Sierra Pacific Network, where he develops and manages a strategic and operational plan for a $4.2B integrated healthcare network of 19,000 full-time employees serving 474,000 enrollees across 10 VA Medical Centers, 57 VA Clinics and two Mobile Medical Units.
