Getting to know me:

Please tell us a bit about what you’ve been doing as a volunteer, and why you chose that particular role.

I’ve been actively involved with the East Bay Local Programming Committee (LPC) since joining CAHL in January 2025, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional journey. What started as a way to expand my network quickly became an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with other healthcare leaders who have inspired, mentored, and supported me along the way.

Volunteering with CAHL has been a rewarding experience. I enjoy connecting with potential new members, helping plan events, and creating opportunities for others to build the same connections and sense of community that I found through CAHL. Seeing people engage, grow their networks, and advance their careers makes the experience incredibly fulfilling. I’m grateful to be part of a community that is passionate about developing healthcare leaders and making a positive impact in the field.

Could you share a “CAHL Moment” with us?

My CAHL Moment has been the journey from joining CAHL in 2025 as a new member to now serving as Vice Chair of the East Bay Local Programming Committee (LPC). What started as a way to expand my professional network has turned into meaningful friendships, mentorships, and opportunities to give back to the healthcare leadership community.

One of my favorite moments was helping plan and host our first CAHL panel and networking event at Sutter Eden Medical Center. Planning the event was honestly the fun part. From coordinating speakers and logistics to creating opportunities for healthcare leaders to connect, it was incredibly rewarding to see everything come together. Watching attendees engage in meaningful conversations, build new relationships, and leave feeling inspired reminded me why I volunteer.

Through CAHL, I have met healthcare leaders from different organizations who have generously shared their experiences, advice, and support. Those relationships have helped me grow both personally and professionally, and they inspired me to become more involved with the organization. Now, as Vice Chair, I have the opportunity to help create those same experiences for others. Seeing members make valuable connections, advance in their careers, and become more engaged in healthcare leadership has been the most rewarding part of my CAHL journey.

I’m open to being a resource to CAHL members if they need… a CAHL tour guide, networking buddy, or someone to help them turn their membership into meaningful connections and opportunities.

What motto or quote resonates with you as a leader?

“Leadership is about creating opportunities for others to connect, grow, and succeed.”

What didn’t I ask that you’d like to share?

One thing I’d like to share is that joining CAHL has been one of the most rewarding professional decisions I’ve made. What began as an opportunity to network and learn from other healthcare leaders quickly became a community where I found mentorship, friendship, and opportunities to grow as a leader.
