Oct 7, 2023 | HEN (Higher Education Network)

CAHL is profiling the 2023 members of the CAHL Hen Student Council. These early careerists are active in engaging peers who are building their healthcare expertise as they advance into and within the industry.

School: California State University, Chico

Future Plans: I plan to stay in Northern California. I want to work for a few years to learn more about hospital operations before pursuing my master’s in healthcare administration. My long-term goal is to work in cancer care and become a mentor for the new emerging healthcare leaders.

What I enjoyed most: I enjoyed meeting like-minded individuals during my time in the CAHL student council. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with other students as passionate about healthcare as I am. It allowed me to build connections within CAHL and receive excellent career advice.

College Bowl Comments: College Bowl was a fantastic experience for myself and my teammates. I am grateful we were able to showcase the hard work we put into preparing for the competition and that California State University, Chico, took first and second place for the undergraduate portion. It is a testament to the hard work we put in. In addition, the supportive environment amongst the teams was great to see.
