Building Deeper Connections Together: A Message from Your CAHL President

Jan 29, 2026 | Annual Report, Leadership

By Corina Clark, FACHE
President, California Association of Healthcare Leaders
Dear CAHL Members,
As I embark on this journey as President, one word resonates deeply within me: connection. The connection to our purpose, to each other, and to the foundational reasons that drew us into healthcare leadership.
CAHL has always been more than an association to me; it has been a thriving community. A community that has stretched me, supported me, challenged me, and celebrated with me over the years. As President, my unwavering focus is simple: you, our members, our volunteers, and the shared experiences that make CAHL feel like home.
Together, over the past few years, we’ve accomplished remarkable feats. What began as bold ideas and late-night discussions have transformed into tangible moments that have elevated our chapter and strengthened our sense of belonging. We brought CAHL Congress to life, a first for our chapter, creating a space where leaders didn’t just attend but truly engaged. We are reimagining our Annual Awards, yes, on a yacht, because our members deserve experiences as exceptional as the work they do every day. This year, we’re raising the bar yet again with a 1.5-day conference in Sacramento, designed to go deeper, foster richer dialogue, and leave you energized, not exhausted. Our chapter has achieved remarkable growth, becoming the third largest in ACHE, which encompasses over 70 chapters. This success is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our board, volunteers, and supportive members.
None of these achievements would be possible without the incredible people behind them.
To our Board, thank you for your courage, candor, and commitment to progress. You leaned in, stepped up, and said “yes” when it mattered most. To our volunteers, you are the center of CAHL. Your time, creativity, and passion turn vision into reality. And to our members, you are the reason we do this. Every event, program, and decision is made with you in mind.
This year, I promise to continue enhancing the member experience, creating more meaningful connections, delivering more relevant content, and curating moments that remind you why this community matters. Whether you’re a seasoned executive or just beginning your leadership journey, CAHL is a place where you belong, where you can grow, and where your voice matters.
We are building something extraordinary together, and I am honored to serve alongside you in this next chapter.
Here’s to a year of bold ideas, deeper connections, and unforgettable experiences.
With gratitude and excitement,
Corina
