“As a committed and proactive volunteer leader, I am spearheading the creation of a comprehensive and strategic repository of health administration schools across Northern California. My team and I are meticulously developing an advanced Excel database focused on MS and MBA healthcare administration programs, designed to significantly enhance connectivity between students and the CAHL Higher Education Network. This high-impact initiative is strategically aimed at improving access to higher education universities serving courses like MHA, MPH, MS (in Healthcare Administrative stream), fostering stronger partnerships, and advancing collaborative opportunities within the healthcare education ecosystem.
I undertook this role to leverage my advanced technical expertise in data management and Excel, alongside my proven leadership skills in team coordination, project execution, and stakeholder engagement. My passion for healthcare administration is reinforced by holding two master’s degrees from internationally recognized institutions, which equips me with a unique global perspective. I am deeply committed to advancing the field by sharing my knowledge and facilitating meaningful connections among students, educators, and healthcare leaders.
In addition to this project, I was honored to serve as a panelist at California State University, Sacramento in early 2025, where I contributed expert insights on healthcare leadership and education. This opportunity further exemplified my role as a thought leader and influencer within the healthcare academic and professional community.”
We’d love to hear a story of a meaningful relationship you’ve developed and why it matters to you and those you serve, or an anecdote about how volunteering with CAHL has made an impact in your role or your personal life.
“A pivotal moment in my career occurred in 2017 when Baljeet Sangha introduced me to CAHL. Though I did not officially join until 2024, I closely followed CAHL’s impactful events and activities for several years. Baljeet has been an extraordinary mentor and pillar of support, consistently demonstrating genuine kindness, unwavering encouragement, and a deep commitment to helping others grow. His leadership—characterized by integrity, empathy, and selfless sharing of knowledge—has been instrumental in building my professional confidence and shaping my approach to leadership.
On a personal level, Baljeet’s mentorship inspired me to adopt a “pay it forward” mindset. Currently, I actively serve on the HEN committee, where I strive to be a dependable resource for others in need of guidance or support. This role empowers me to pass on the kindness I received and foster a supportive community within CAHL. Knowing that I can positively impact someone’s journey brings me great fulfillment and reinforces my dedication to service.”

“I’m open to being a resource to CAHL members if they need ________.”
“I’m open and eager to be a valuable resource to CAHL members who need guidance, support, or connection for advice related to healthcare administration, career development, or volunteering opportunities. With over 12 years of experience as a healthcare administrative professional across clinical and administrative domains, I offer a wealth of expertise. I also bring hands-on experience guiding nonprofit organizations in community engagement, event management, and strategic planning. Passionate about healthcare administration and quality improvement, I am committed to supporting others in their professional growth. Whether you need help navigating your career, managing projects, or building networks, I am here to assist in any way I can. You can reach me easily on LinkedIn, and I welcome outreach for any reason.”
What motto or quote resonates with you as a leader?
“Leadership is not just about guiding others, but about empowering them to grow, connect, and make a positive impact together. This motto deeply resonates with me because my professional journey in healthcare administration and community engagement has taught me that true leadership emerges from collaboration, service and uplifting others. Whether through mentoring, sharing knowledge, or fostering strong networks, leadership means enabling collective growth and impact.”
What didn’t I ask that you’d like to share?
“Beyond my extensive experience in healthcare administration, I am actively engaged in advancing healthcare quality through both research and community involvement. I regularly publish research papers on healthcare quality, patient safety, and patient experience—contributing to meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery and outcomes across diverse systems. I serve as an editor for two respected journals and as a peer reviewer for two additional international journals, which allows me to remain deeply engaged with emerging research and help uphold academic and scientific rigor within the field.
I also proudly serve on the advisory board of Slum Soccer, an organization focused on using sports to empower youth in underserved areas of India. In this role, I help lead initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and quality for adolescent girls—merging my healthcare expertise with a deep passion for equity and social impact. Additionally, I volunteer with the Women’s Healthcare Executive (WHCE) Mentorship Team, where I contribute to developing mentorship frameworks, creating guidance documents, and facilitating successful mentor-mentee pairings and engagement sessions.
My public speaking and leadership work further reflect my dedication to professional and community engagement. I’ve been a featured speaker and panelist at several healthcare conferences and academic forums, where I share insights, inspire early-career professionals, promote healthcare quality and patient safety, and advocate for innovation in healthcare systems. These experiences have significantly strengthened my communication, mentorship, and leadership skills.
Taken together, my contributions across research, editorial leadership, mentorship, advocacy, and education reflect a sustained commitment to advancing healthcare quality and building global networks of impact. I continually strive to integrate technical expertise, thought leadership, and a strong service mindset to foster positive, lasting change in the communities I serve—locally and internationally.”
